Both dogs and cats are susceptible to several aggressive infections that can be fatal. Vaccines have been developed to protect them against these diseases. Initially protection comes from a course of 2 injections given when they are young. However, they need annual boosters or they will loose this protection. If you have any questions regarding vaccination and your pet, please phone the surgery or pop in and speak to a member of staff.

Unfortunately our pet’s joints, like humans, are prone to wear and tear as they get older. It is estimated that 20% of the UK’s dog population has some form of arthritis, with this rising to about 90% of older pets. Osteoarthritis is also thought to be one of the most common conditions affecting cats and occur more frequently than in dogs. There are many options available to treat arthritis in both cats and dogs, including diet, supplements and anti-inflammatory drugs.
